How to Get Your HVAC System Ready for the Texas Storm Season

Even in this difficult time, Ellis AC is still dedicated to giving you high-quality HVAC services when you need it. We know it can be stressful to have a team of people in your home right now, which is why we’re taking the necessary steps to keep you as safe as possible while we repair your HVAC system. Here are some of the safety precautions we’re taking for your safety during every service call.

Only Healthy Technicians Will Visit Your Home

We don’t want to expose you or your family to COVID-19, which is why we only allow healthy technicians to go on service calls. If one of our technicians is sick, they can call in and take the day off. We also temperature-check every technician before they go on a job. If they have a fever, they get to go home and rest. HVAC maintenance is necessary for keeping you healthy, and so is reducing exposure to those who might be sick. At Ellis AC, we take your health seriously.

Cancelling Service When Homeowners Get Sick

We’re doing everything we can to keep you healthy, but we need you to do the same. If you’ve got an upcoming HVAC repair scheduled, please call and reschedule if you get sick. It’s important that our technicians stay healthy so we can keep serving our community. By letting us know when you’re sick, you’ll be doing your part in protecting our technicians and our future clients. We know it can be inconvenient to wait longer for HVAC repairs, but telling us when you’re sick is the responsible decision to keep everyone safe.

Extra Protective Gear

Our technicians are no strangers to wearing protective gear on the job, but we’ve added more requirements to reduce the risk of spreading or coming into contact with harmful bacteria. When we’re on a service call, our technicians wear gloves, booties, and face masks. We’re also reducing our direct contact with clients. Don’t be offended if we don’t shake your hand when we arrive, it’s nothing personal. We’ll make sure to keep at least 6 feet of distance from you whenever possible, and we’ll try to keep our interactions brief so we can get to the job and get out of your home as soon as possible. We change gloves, booties, and masks before every job, so you can rest assured we won’t be bringing anyone else’s bacteria into your home.
